Pre Filter

The general purpose filters are used to remove the coarse contamination from the compressed air stream. This is achieved through a two stage filtering action. First the incoming air is spun & cleaned due to the centrifugal action from the carry-overs, oils, liquid condensates and solid contamination due to the baffle. This baffling effect spins the contamination out of the air stream and directs the air stream and directs it to the bottom of the bowl for removal through the drain-cock. Next, the air is forced through a 10 micron polypropylene cartridge where the remaining solid particles are removed.

These general purpose filters are used to remove the coarse contamination from the compressed air stream. Extended element life is best achieved by pre-filtering air with Siemag Pre Filters.
SELECTION AND USE:
The cyclonic effect created due to the baffle throws the contamination out of the air stream. The two stage filtering process reduces the effect of contamination to costly down stream filters. These filters are used as Pre-Filters to the Micro Coalescors & Activated Carbon Filters.
Extended element life is best achieved by pre-filtering air with Siemag Pre-Filters.
